How to make it

  • Dice your onion
  • Pan on and oil in
  • thrown in onions,cumin seeds,curry leaves,horizontally sliced green chilli
  • once its starts popping and onion turns light golden color, add ginger garlic and stir on low heat for a minute
  • next add cardamon(crushed),Cloves,black pepper and coriander
  • Add washed Rice,Lentils mixture with water(2 cups on water) (1:2 ratio to rice/Lentils)
  • add cinnamon,bay leaf,star anise and salt for taste
  • Just like usual rice wait till you see rice is cooked with nice lentils
  • cook with a lid on to preserve the aroma of those lentils
  • this food is just good on its own or can be served with Raitha( Curd,Onions,Tomatoes,Green chilli,Coriander mixture)
