- 4 lb meat, cut 1/4" thick, 1 1/2" wide shopping list
- 1/2 c. soy sauce shopping list
- 4 tsp. salt shopping list
- 2 1/2 tsp. garlic powder shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp. black pepper shopping list
- 1/2 c. Worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 4 tbsp. liquid smoke shopping list
- 1/4 c. water shopping list
- 2 tsp. cayenne pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Bring all ingredients except for meat to a boil. Allow to cool before pouring over meat. Soak meat in brine for 5 hours, turning every hour.
- Dry in a 200 degree oven for 8 hours or overnight. Prop oven door open so moisture escapes. Turn every three hours while drying.
- Before storing, make sure jerky is cooled.
