How to make it

  • Melt butter in a medium nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add onion to pan; cook 20 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in sugar; cook 2 minutes. Add vinegar and remaining ingredients; bring to a simmer. Cook six minutes or until liquid has evaporated, stirring occasionally. Discard bay leaf.
  • Serving size: 1-1/2 tsp. Yield: 2-4 servings.

    I made this to go on our BBQed sausages and it was very good.
    I used Earth balance in place of butter, but followed as is.
    Yes you could smell the mustard as it cooked, but dissipated after a min. or so. Regardless this is delicious and has a nice tang to it, and i will make it again. It is a must try..

    I believe the cook meant it serves 2-4 rather then 24.

    We enjoyed this with hamburgers. I used Vidalias, and I had my doubts as it cooked. The smell of mustard was very strong once the vinegar and mustard were added. It's very good and I'll be making more soon. I cooked it at "4" in a nonstick pan on an electric stove and stirred it approximately every two minutes.

    Manella, it IS supposed to be 2-4, not 24! Thank you for catching that.
