Penne Alla Vodka

- 1 lb penne shopping list
- 28-oz can of tomatoes (whole) shopping list
- 2 cloves of garlic shopping list
- ¼ c half-and-half shopping list
- ½ c Parmesan (grated) shopping list
- ½ c vodka shopping list
- 2 T butter shopping list
- olive oil shopping list
- parsley shopping list
- red chile flakes shopping list
- black pepper shopping list
- salt shopping list
How to make it
- 1 Peel and smash the garlic, and sauté in the butter and oil over medium heat, careful not to brown. Add red chile flakes, and season to taste.
- 2 Add the tomatoes and vodka bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer, covered, for about 25 min. Meanwhile, cook the pasta to just al dente.
- 3 Take the sauce off the heat and purée. Mix in the dairy, Parmesan and a small splash of vodka. Stir in the pasta and parsley to finish.
