Chicken A La King

- 1/2 cup butter shopping list
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped shopping list
- 1 small red pepper, chopped shopping list
- 3 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced shopping list
- 2 stalks celery, chopped shopping list
- 1/3 cup flour shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups milk shopping list
- 1 1/4 cups chicken broth shopping list
- 2 cups cooked chicken or turkey shopping list
- Rice, prepared shopping list
How to make it
- Melt butter in a skillet on medium heat. Add vegetables and sauté a few minutes.
- Add in flour and cook about 3-4minutes to remove starchy taste.
- Add salt, pepper, broth and milk. Mix in chicken. Simmer until thickened. Serve over rice.
- Serve over hot rice.
