How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Cut shortening into dry ingredients. Add liquid and form ball. Turn onto floured board. Knead and roll to desired thickness. Cut out biscuits. Bake 10 to 12 minutes. This recipe should be doubled.

    Hello.
    I believe this biscuits are suppose to be thin, like a cookie.
    They are meant to be served with tea at afternoon tea time, at least in England.
    You should be able to dunk your biscuit into our tea, and eat it as a light meal in between meal times.
    It sounds perfect to me the way it is.
