How to make it

  • In a small saucepan, bring Dr. Pepper to simmer.
  • Reduce heat slightly and cook until about 1/4 cup remains.
  • This should pour like a thick syrup; cool to room temp.
  • CRUST:
  • Butter 9-10" spring-pan.
  • Mix ingredient completely.
  • Press onto bottom and sides of pan evenly, set in freezer.
  • CAKE: Preheat oven to 475^.
  • In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth.
  • Add brown sugar and flour.
  • Add eggs one at a time, scraping down bowl after each.
  • Add Dr. Pepper & Maraschino syrups, then bourbon and cream.
  • Blend until just incorporated.
  • Pour into prepared crust, tap to raise bubbles. pop.
  • Bake at 475^ for 15 minutes.
  • Reduce temp. to 250^ and continue baking for 1 hour.
  • Remove from oven and cool to room temp.
  • Chill overnight before serving.
