- 1 1/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 (13 oz) can evaporated milk shopping list

- 4 eggs, separated ( reserve egg whites for meringue) shopping list
- 1/3 cup butter, melted shopping list
- 1 (8 oz) can evaporated milk (Carnation suggested) shopping list
- 1 cup milk shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 1/2 tbsp cornstarch shopping list
- 3 tbsp butter shopping list
- 2 oz rum shopping list

- 1 cup of sugar, the shopping list
- 13oz evaporated milk can, shopping list
- 2 cups of milk, shopping list
- vanilla, shopping list
- egg yolks, shopping list
- melted butter in bowl. shopping list

- MERINGUE: shopping list
- 4 egg whites shopping list
- 1/4 cup sugar shopping list
- RUM SAUCE shopping list
- 1 cup evaporated milk shopping list
- 1 cup fresh milk shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 3 Tbsps. butter shopping list
- 1 1/2 Tbsps. cornstarch shopping list
- 2 oz .rum (optional) you can sub. sprite,cream soda or what you like shopping list
- In a double boiler, put milk, sugar and butter. shopping list
- When hot, dissolve cornstarch in a little water and add hot milk. shopping list
- Stir until thick. shopping list
- Remove from fire, then add rum. shopping list
How to make it
- For the BREAD PUDDING - Break bread into small pieces and place in 9X13 baking pan.
- Add 1 cup of sugar, the 13oz can evaporated milk , 2 cups of milk, vanilla, egg yolks, and melted butter in bowl. Mix well.
- Pour into baking pan and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
- To make MERINGUE--beat egg whites with remaining sugar until stiff. Cover pudding with meringue and re-bake for 3 to 4 minutes until golden on top.
- Opitional
- For the RUM SAUCE- in a double boiler, add the 8 oz Carnation milk and 1 cup whole milk, 1 cup sugar, and 3 tbsp butter. When hot, dissolve cornstarch in a little water and add to hot milk.
- Stir until thick, remove from fire, then add rum.
- Pour over individual servings of bread pudding
