How to make it

  • You need a clay pot that is round and tallish
  • Put enough macaroni noodles in the pot to cover the bottom
  • cover with a layer of cheeses
  • Sprinkle with salt and pepper

  • By the time we reach the top of the clay pot all of the macaroni is used up and lots of cheese also.
  • Gently pour the milk into the pot and just keep pouring until you see the milk come above the layers.
  • Place lid on pot and bake for an hour to an hour and a half.
  • ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
  • This last time we made this, for Christmas Dinner 2017, We topped it with a can of Campbell's cheddar cheese soup.
  • Other things we have thought that might help make it creamier is butter, ricotta cheese, sour cream, cream cheese....added to the layers
