Pepper Beef Chinese Style

- 8 oz beef flank steak (or any tender cut you prefer.) shopping list
- 1/2 large green bell pepper shopping list
- 1 medium sized onion shopping list
- 1 or 2 dried chilies (I used one to give a light spiciness. Add more to your taste) shopping list
- Marinade: shopping list
- 1 Tbsp Lee Kum Kee Premium /light soy sauce shopping list
- 1 tsp cornstarch shopping list
- 1/2 tsp each sesame oil and chili oil shopping list
- Pinch of salt shopping list
- Pinch of MSG (optional) shopping list
- Sauce: shopping list
- 1/2 Tbsp Lee Kum Kee Premium Dark Soy sauce shopping list
- 1 Tbsp Zhao Sing (rice wine) shopping list
- 2 Tbsp chili Soybean paste,HACCP Brand shopping list
How to make it
- Slice the beef thinly and combine with the marinade. Let sit for about twenty minutes.
- Slice the onion and bell pepper thinly
- Heat a wok or frying pan over medium high heat till smoking
- Add 1 Tbsp peanut or vegetable oil to the pan and the chili. When the chili turns color, add the beef. Let sit in the pan for about one minute add the vegetables and stir fry until the peppers turn bright green and the onions begin to turn glassy.
- Add the sauce mixture and stir fry until it begins to cling to the meat and vegetables--about one minute. Serve with white rice.
