Easy Skillet Lasagna With Fresh Basil

- 1/2 lb. of ground pork (not spiced) shopping list
- 1/2 lb. of ground beef shopping list
- 2 cloves of garlic, or more to taste shopping list
- Salt & Pepper shopping list
- 1/2 large onion shopping list
- 2 cups water shopping list
- 1 jar of spaghetti sauce shopping list
- Sprinkle of dried basil shopping list
- Sprinkle of dried oregano shopping list
- 8 uncooked lasagna noodles shopping list
- Small package of ricotta shopping list
- 1 cup of Parmesan cheese divided in 2 shopping list
- 12 oz. Mozzarella cheese, grated, if desired shopping list
- Fresh basil shopping list
How to make it
- (Ground beef can be used if you don't have or want pork)
- 1) Brown meat and drain
- 2) Add onion, garlic, salt and pepper continue to cook until onion is slightly done
- 3) When meat and onion mixture are done, add water, sauce and half of the Parmesan cheese. Break up noodles and add to meat mixture. Add dried basil and oregano. Cover and cook for 20 minutes.
- 4) After 20 minutes, sprinkle the rest of the cheese on. Add dollops of ricotta cheese. Put the lid back on and cook for 5 minutes, so cheese can melt and ricotta can warm. Place fresh basil on and serve serve.
- Note: I have par-boiled the noodles, and used the pasta water to add to the recipe; this method worked really well, and decreased gloppiness from noodles.
