How to make it

  • Salt and pepper the chicken;
  • Put all the remaining ingredients in a bowl large enough to accommodate the wings and combine together to form a marinade;
  • Add the wings to the marinade and mix and toss until each wing evenly coated on all sides;
  • Cover with cling film and marinate in the fridge for a minimum of 2 hours or, preferably, overnight;
  • Preheat oven to 440f/220c/200c fan/gas7 or prepare a BBQ
  • If cooking in the oven, place the chicken and marinade into a roasting pan/foil dish in a single layer.
  • Roast for some 20 to 25 minutes or so, turning once halfway through, or until golden brown and fully cooked through.
  • If using BBQ, place the chicken and marinade in a BBQ dish/pan and BBQ for some 20 minutes or so or, as above, until golden brown and fully cooked through
