Filipino Chicken Adobo

- - 3 lbs chicken cut into serving pieces shopping list
- - 4.5 pieces dried bay leaves shopping list
- - 12 tablespoons soy sauce shopping list
- - 6 tablespoons white vinegar shopping list
- - 7.5 cloves garlic crushed shopping list
- - 2.25 cups water shopping list
- - 4.5 tablespoons cooking oil shopping list
- - 1.5 teaspoon sugar shopping list
- - 0.38 teaspoon Salt shopping list
- - 1.5 teaspoon whole peppercorn shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Combine chicken, soy sauce, and garlic in a large bowl. Mix well.
- 2. Marinate the chicken for at least 1 hour. Note: the longer the time, the better.
- 3. Heat a cooking pot. Pour cooking oil.
- 4. When the oil is hot enough, pan-fry the marinated chicken for 2 minutes per side.
- 5. Pour-in the remaining marinade, including garlic. Add water. Bring to a boil
- 6. Add dried bay leaves and whole peppercorn. Simmer for 30 minutes or until the chicken gets tender
- 7. Add vinegar. Stir and cook for 10 minutes.
- 8. Put-in the sugar, and salt. Stir and turn the heat off.Serve hot. Share and Enjoy....con gusto!
