How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Use baking sprat along sides of 9x12 baking pan.
  • Prepare yellow cake mix as directed and set aside. Place apricot halves open side down and line up evenly to fill the entire pan. Sprinkle with brown sugar and pour enough apricot syrup from the can to about halfway up the cots. Then spoon the batter on top. Bake as directed, or until a tooth pick comes out clean.
  • Loosen the sides with a knife and place a foil lined jelly roll pan on top of the baked cake and flip over. Serve warm with whipped cream.
  • Use 2 cups of heavy whipping cream and 1/2 powdered sugar in mixer on high until stiff peaks form. Spoon on top of each slice. Enjoy!
