How to make it

  • Pierce sausage with fork and if desired cut in half or quarters.
  • In medium sized pot add 1 - 2 T. Olive oil.
  • Add crushed garlic, sausage, ground meat mix.
  • Sautee till lightly browned.
  • Add tomatoes (I like to use a stick blender to puree the tomatoes).
  • Let simmer about 15 minutes. Stir.
  • Add cheese, parsley, and oregano. Let simmer another 15 minutes. Stir.
  • Adjust taste with salt and/or pepper, more cheese or herbs. Let simmer about 30 minutes or until desired consistency stirring occassionally.
  • When finished add Balsamic vinegar and let cook another minute or two.
