Sausage Pasta

- 2 cups cooked penne or bowtie pasta shopping list
- 1 or 2 Tblsp. olive oil shopping list
- 1/2 # Andouille sausage (or any sausage you prefer) - sliced shopping list
- 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic - chopped shopping list
- 1 cup baby spinach leaves shopping list
- 1 cup spaghetti sauce shopping list
- 4 oz. heavy cream shopping list
- 1 tsp. Italian seasoning shopping list
- 1/2 cup or more shredded mozzarella cheese (optional, but yummy!) shopping list
How to make it
- Cook pasta according to pkg directions, drain, set aside
- Heat olive oil in large skillet and add sausage, cooking until heated thru and browned; place on plate and set aside
- Add mushrooms to pan and sautee until soft, add garlic and cook 1-2 minutes longer
- Add spinach, spaghetti sauce, cream, and Italian seasoning. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer about 10 minutes until sauce has thickened.
- Return sausage to pan, and add cooked pasta. Stir and heat thru. If using cheese, add to the pan and once melted serve and enjoy!
