How to make it

  • BEFORE! Start rice and toast almonds before you start the chicken! Don't get distracted while toasting the almonds like I have, far too many times.....
  • Directions:
  • Rinse chicken; pat dry and season with salt and pepper if desired.
  • In large skillet or wok, over medium heat, heat 1 teaspoon oil.
  • Cook chicken and garlic until chicken is no longer pink; set aside.
  • In skillet, heat 2 teaspoons oil.
  • Stir in flour.
  • Whisk in chicken broth.
  • Heat mixture to boiling, stirring constantly.
  • Remove from heat; stir in lemon juice, sugar, lemon peel, and dill.
  • Mix in chicken and almonds. Use salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve over rice.
