Apple Crisp

- 2/3 cups gluten and dairy free rolled oats( such as Bob Mills) shopping list
- 1/3 cup gluten free flour (such as Robin Hood) shopping list
- 1/3 cup brown sugar shopping list
- 6 tablespoons lactose free butter ( such as Natrel) shopping list
- 4-6 medium apples ( Golden Delicious or McIntosh) shopping list
- Pinch of salt shopping list
- 1-2 teaspoons Nutmeg, more or less to your taste. shopping list
- Natrel Lactose free Whipping cream. shopping list
- Or Natrel lactose free Vanilla Ice cream. shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Lightly butter a 9 inch pie plate with sides or a deep casserole dish.
- Peel, core and chop apples.
- Add 1 teaspoon Nutmeg, toss and lay in lightly buttered pie plate.
- Melt the butter in a large frying pan.
- When melted add the oats,flour, salt, brown sugar and the rest of the Nutmeg.
- Stir with a wooden spoon until lightly toasted and you can smell it.
- When toasted spread over apples,it will be hot so spread with the back of a spoon.
- make sure all the apples are covered.
- Put pie plate on a cookie sheet and bake until apples are bubbly.
- 35-40 minutes.
- Cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
- Whip up the whipping cream, add 1 teaspoon vanilla,and white sugar to your taste.
- Serve over crisp or serve with lactose free ice cream.
