How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350. Coat a 9 x 13 pan with cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl, cream butter and 1 1/2 cups sugar. Add eggs 1 at a time. Add flour, baking powder, and vanilla. Mix well.
  • Spread half of the batter into the pan. Spread cherry pie filling evenly over batter. Using a wet knife, cover with the remaining batter.
  • Mix remaining ingredients until crumbly. Sprinkle over batter.
  • Bake 60 minutes until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan on a rock.
  • Cut and serve.
