How to make it

  • Dissolve sugar in warm water.
  • Add yeast and let sit until the top foams.
  • Mix the butter into the yeast mixture.
  • Blend flour and salt in a large bowl.
  • Add dry ingredients to moist mixture one cup at a time and stir/blend till clean dough forms.
  • Knead for 3 to 5 minutes.Form into a ball.
  • Place in an oiled bowl, and turn to oil the whole ball.
  • Make sure that the part where you pulled all the dough together, is facing down.
  • Cover with a clean white kitchen cloth.
  • Let rise 1 hour.
  • Punch down.
  • Form into 2 loaves.
  • Place each loaf into it's own greased loaf pan.
  • Oil tops.
  • Cover again with the clean white kitchen cloth.
  • Let rise 30 to 40 minutes.
  • Bake at 350°C for about 30 minutes.
  • OR until when you knock on it it sounds hollow.
  • Brush the tops with melted butter.
  • Enjoy !
