Cornbread

- 1 1/2 cups white cornmeal shopping list
- 3 T. flour shopping list
- 1. salt shopping list
- 1 t. baking soda shopping list
- 2 cups buttermilk shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1/4 cup shortening shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 450*
- Melt shortening in a cast iron skillet (I use a 12" one).
- Sift dry ingredients into bowl. Add buttermilk and egg. Pour into the skillet of melted shortening and mix.
- Bake 20-25 minutes, cornbread will be golden brown on top.
