Ingredients

  • Cantaloupe, fresh off the vine out of the garden, sun warmed shopping list
  • Ice Cream, your favorite flavor, normally vanilla for us shopping list
  • Toppings, again your favs , if any it was whipped cream shopping list

How to make it

  • I remember that the cantaloupe was always warm, so we must have just picked it out of our garden.
  • Wash the cantaloupe very well as it's shell will be your bowl.
  • DO NOT PEEL!!!
  • Cut the cantaloupe in half, clean out the seeds and membranes.
  • Place each half in its own bowl if you like. We just held them as they were all natural.
  • Using a LARGE ice cream scoop, so it will be pretty, scoop out a big scoop of ice cream and place it in the "bowl" of the cantaloupe .
  • Top with toppings of choice.
  • Enjoy!
  • This was great on a hot summer day after a lot of Farm-Girl type work in the garden and such.
