Ingredients

  • 6 teabags, unwrapped and the strings all tied together shopping list
  • for easy retrieval after boiling shopping list
  • 4 cups of water + enough to fill a gallon container shopping list
  • 1/2 cup sugar or 1/3 cup stevia (its sweeter to me) shopping list

  • My daughter has a wire basket that she sets into her tea water, and puts the tea bags into the basket. shopping list
  • She just has to remove the basket from the water and she is ready to mix up her tea her way, which is 1.75 cups of sugar per gallon... shopping list

  • I know she makes a stevia one also, I do not know how much stevia she uses! shopping list

How to make it

  • Place the 4 cups of water and tea bags on the stove.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Reduce to a low boil and simmer 5 minutes.
  • Pour into the gallon container.
  • Add sweetener.
  • Mix well.
  • I think this tastes better then adding sugar to cold drinks,
  • but it could just be me.
  • Fill the container with cool water.
  • Store in the fridge until you desire a cup, pour over ice, or not.
  • Enjoy....

  • Note:
  • Now, I use 4 teabags.
  • And put them into the basket of my Mr. Coffee Tea maker.
  • I run the purified water through these tea bags, 2 gallons for Black Tea, and 1 gallon for Green Tea,
  • It comes out perfect every time!!!

  • We have a lot of calcium in our water, and it ruined the first Mr. Coffee Tea Maker we had in 6 months.
  • We learned our lesson, we used filtered water now!!!
