Jim's Homemade Bean With Bacon Soup (can Be Canned)

- 1/3 c Navy beans shopping list
- 1/4 c carrots, diced shopping list
- 1 tbsp diced celery shopping list
- 1/4 cup bacon, fried and crumbled shopping list
- 1/4 cup onion diced shopping list
- 1/8 tsp onion powder shopping list
- 1/8 tsp garlic powder shopping list
- 1/2 tsp chicken/tomato bullion shopping list
- 1/4 tsp lawrys seasoning salt shopping list
- 1/8 tsp liquid smoke shopping list
- 1 tsp ketchup shopping list
- 1/2 tsp chicken bullion shopping list
- Water to fill to 1/2 inch head space shopping list
How to make it
- Makes 8 pints of soup
- Wash beans well and drain. Put beans into clean pint jars. Add onions, celery, carrots, bacon. Top with spices, liquid smoke and ketchup in layers. No need to mix.
- Pressure can at required pounds of pressure for your altitude for 75 mins. Remove from canner as soon as pressure reduces naturally.
- You can do the math and add all the ingredient amounts together and add enough water to make a soup consistency if you don't want to can it.
