Ingredients

2 to 3 pounds potatoes, peeled and quartered

1 medium onion, chopped

1 (14-ounce) can diced tomatoes

At least that much water and maybe 2 cans of water

Salt and Pepper

Dash sugar

Butter

Directions

Cut potatoes, onions and tomatoes and add all ingredients in soup pot. Add water, but I found that you need a lot of water and not that much tomato. Use salt, pepper and butter to taste. Cook until done and the potatoesand onion are tender. The longer it is cooked, the better it is. Sometimes close to an hour. Double the amounts to serve more people.
