- 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs (for crust) shopping list
- ½ cup melted butter (for crust) shopping list
- 2 cups cream cheese, softened shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla extract shopping list
- 4 large eggs shopping list
- 6 oz dark chocolate, melted shopping list
- 1 cup sour cream shopping list
- 1 cup heavy cream shopping list
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar (for whipped cream topping) shopping list
How to make it
- Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Mix the graham cracker crumbs with melted butter until well combined.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a springform pan to form a crust.
- Bake for 10 minutes, then set aside to cool.
- Make the Chocolate Filling:
- In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
- Add the sugar and vanilla extract, and continue to beat until well combined.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Add Melted Chocolate:
- Melt the dark chocolate and let it cool slightly.
- Mix the melted chocolate into the cream cheese mixture until fully incorporated.
- Bake the Cheesecake:
- Pour the filling over the prepared crust.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.
- Let the cheesecake cool to room temperature, then chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
- Prepare the Whipped Cream:
- In a bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
- Serve and Enjoy:
- Before serving, spread the whipped cream over the chilled cheesecake.
