Butterscotch Cornstarch Pudding Recipe
This is a very creamy, very tasty, very easy pudding sure to please all. Enjoy.

Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions
  1. Blend sugar, cornstarch and salt.
  2. Gradually add milk mixing well then cook and stir until smooth, thickened and clear.
  3. Stir a little of the pudding into beaten egg then return to pudding.
  4. Add butter and vanilla then mix well and chill in refrigerator.

The recipe text mentions 'beaten egg' but the ingredients list does not. The usual amount I've seen for this ratio (3/4 c sugar to 2 c milk) is 3 yolks. Is that what was supposed to appear?
