How to make it

  • In a large metal pan or doubled up aluminum pan, place the beer, butter and onion.
  • Place on the grill and bring to a boil.
  • Grill the bratwursts about 7-9 inches above the coals and turn often until done, about 20-25 minutes. (Use tongs when turning so you don't puncture the bratwursts and char them)
  • When done, place the bratwursts into the pan with the beer, butter and onion until ready to serve.
  • Serve with your choice of condiments and, of course, you choice of a cold beer!
