Hands Off My Beer Wurst Ya Brats Recipe
Perfect for picnic or tailgating! The alcohol cooks off so it is kid friendly. Toppings of your choice allow you to customize this happy brat however your heart desires.

Ingredients
  • 10 bratwurts, or hot dogs if you want to substitute
  • 10 hoagie rolls, or hot dog rolls
  • 3 can of good ol' fashion domestic beer
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 stick of butter
  • Toppings:
  • Ketchup
  • Mustard, brown, dijon, or yellow
  • chopped onion
  • sauerkraut
  • grilled onions
  • grilled peppers
  • hot peppers
  • pickle relish

Directions
  1. In a large metal pan or doubled up aluminum pan, place the beer, butter and onion.
  2. Place on the grill and bring to a boil.
  3. Grill the bratwursts about 7-9 inches above the coals and turn often until done, about 20-25 minutes. (Use tongs when turning so you don't puncture the bratwursts and char them)
  4. When done, place the bratwursts into the pan with the beer, butter and onion until ready to serve.
  5. Serve with your choice of condiments and, of course, you choice of a cold beer!
