Smithfield Burger Recipe
Pan fried burger with grilled special topping

Ingredients
  • 1/4lb steer burger
  • One tblsp Smithfield ham spread
  • One tblsp good mayonase
  • kosher salt
  • Topping : equal portions of mayo combined with ham pate

Directions
  1. Prepare the patties round but NOT flattened
  2. Preheat griddle
  3. Add a pinch of the salt to hot pan
  4. (No oil or shortening! )
  5. Drop patties on to hot salt
  6. Brown five minutes undisturbed at medium to high heat
  7. Add salt to pan and flip patties (only once )on the salt
  8. Do not press down on patty
  9. After the next 5 minutes are up, leave in pan and add the topping to the burger
  10. Place the skillet( with burger )under the broiler til' it bubbles and browns
  11. Serve with steak fries
