How to make it

  • Slit sausages lengthwise, cut almost to the ends and about 3/4 of the way through.
  • In a bowl, combine sauerkraut, chili sauce, onion and caraway seeds.
  • Mix well.
  • Stuff about 2 tablespoons of the sauerkraut mixture into the slit of each sausage.
  • Secure with wooden skewers.
  • Grill over hot grill for about 10 minutes, turning frequently.
  • Serve in frankfurter buns, and don't forget to remove the skewers before eating!!!
