Ingredients
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1-1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 3 eggs beaten
  • 1 cup salad oil
  • 2 jars baby food prunes
  • 1 cup broken nuts

Directions
  1. Combine dry ingredients and sift twice then set aside.
  2. Beat eggs, oil, baby food and nuts until smooth then mix in dry ingredients until well blended.
  3. Bake in a tube pan at 325 for 1 hour and 45 minutes.
  4. Allow to cool for 15 minutes then remove from pan.

Recipe was easy to follow. However, baking time is incorrect. One hour an 45 min. is way too long. I stopped after 1:10 and cake was dry, not moist. Adjust time to bake to perhaps 45 min. or so.

Sugggest that baking time be reduced to 45 min. or keep an eye out and check after 30 min. Every 10 min. after that.
