Ingredients
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1/2 c. peanut butter
  • 1/2 c. white sugar
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 t. vanilla
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 1/2 t. baking soda
  • 1 c. flour

Directions
  1. cream shortening and peanut butter
  2. beat sugar into mixture, add egg and rest of ingredients
  3. drop by teaspoonfulls onto cookie sheet, flatten into circles with the tines of a fork.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 min. or less
