Straight from the kitchen of my Grandma Betty. This cake is easy and delicious.

Ingredients
- 2/3 cup of Sugar
- 1/4 cup of Shortening
- 1/2 cup of Milk
- 1 Egg
- 1/4 tsp of Salt
- 1 tsp of Vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups of Flour
- 2 tsp of Baking Powder
Directions
- Mix all of the ingredients.
- Pour into cake pan.
- Bake at 350 for 25 minutes.

This cake is so deliscious and wholesome since I substituted shortening for butter and I used an organic egg as well. Everyone absolutely loved the taste and the moistness of the cake, it went so fast! I must also add that it was the easiest cake I ever baked.
