Guiness Beef From My Sister-In-Law Recipe
This is a recipe I obtained from my sister-in-law about 10 years ago. She is an incredible cook and makes this for family get togethers. We can never get enough of it. Enjoy

Ingredients
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 pounds cubed beef stew meat
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 red onion thinly sliced
  • 2 celery ribs thinly sliced
  • 1 carrot thinly sliced
  • 2 bottles Guinness stout
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 1 tablespoon chopped orange peel
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper

Directions
  1. Heat olive oil in Dutch oven over high heat.
  2. Coat beef lightly with flour and fry in batches until well browned on all sides.
  3. Transfer beef to a plate and fry onions in the same pot until browned about 15 minutes.
  4. Add celery and carrots during last 5 minutes.
  5. Return beef and any accumulated juices to pot.
  6. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
  7. Reduce heat and simmer covered for 3 hours.
