Dads Hungarian Bean Soup

- 2 cups navy beans(i used pintos once and it was just as good) shopping list
- 2 sm. onions chopped shopping list
- 1 leek,chopped(only if u want) shopping list
- 3 med carrots, small chop shopping list
- 6 lrg garlic cloves, minced shopping list
- 1/4 tsp of black pepper shopping list
- 1 HEAPING TBLS sweet Hungarian paprika shopping list
- 6 tbls flour shopping list
- 1/2 cup sour cream shopping list
- 2 tsp cider vingegar shopping list
How to make it
- Soak Navy beans overnight.
- Drain them and add to large soup pot with onions and leek, carrots,and garlic.
- Add water to about an inch above the level of the beans.
- Bring them to a boil and simmer,covered,until tender.
- About 1,1/2 hrs later,mix in the salt, pepper,and paprika.
- Ladle out about 2 cups of the beans and water and slowly stir in the flour until smooth.
- Add the flour mixture to the beans, stirring constantly.
- Remove the soup from the heat and whisk in the sour cream and then the vinegar.
- Gently reheat the soup for about 10 minutes.
