I have used this recipe for many many years - always a big hit!!
But....one pound of sausage is enough when you double or triple this recipe. And when it says to add enough butter to drippings to make one cup - no! add some butter and a lot of chicken stock to make that one cup. Although very good the original way, it is so rich...rich...rich...you can almost hear your arteries clogging.....

Thanks for a great post! I think I'll try it for Thanksgiving this year. Is it moist without having to add any chicken broth or stock?

This sounds good, but is there really no liquid in it, like stock or even water?
