The ranch mix really brings a lot of flavor to the broccoli. This is an easy and delicious salad.

Ingredients
  • 1 large bunch broccoli, cut into bite-sized pieces, wash and dry well
  • 1 pound bacon, diced
  • 1 medium red onion, diced
  • 8 ounce sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 package ranch salad dressing mix
  • 2 cups mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • pepper to taste

Directions
  1. Fry bacon.
  2. Drain off fat and set aside to cool.
  3. In a bowl, combine dressing mix,mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar and pepper. Whisk well.
  4. In a large bowl, add broccoli, cheese, bacon and onion. Toss to combine.
  5. Pour dressing over broccoli mixture and toss to coat.
  6. Cover and refrigerate 4 hours.
