How to make it

  • if uncooked boil chicken about 30 minutes until done
  • cool and debone chicken tearing into small pieces
  • while chicken is cooling preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • line the bottom of a 9 by 13 baking pan with chicken
  • mix together soup and sour cream
  • pour over chicken
  • top with cracker crumbs
  • pour margarine over all
  • bake 30 minutes until nice and bubbly
  • leftovers heat well in the microwave

    This is my son's favorite dish, and he enjoys cooking it for his friends at college because it is so easy to make, and so delicious! It was actually TOO chicken-y for us when I made it the first time, we needed more crunch, and more butter to go with the extra crackers. I use only 2 or 3 large breasts, 2 whole sleeves of Ritz crackers,and 1 & 1/2 sticks of butter. REAL butter. Mmmmmm. SOOOOOOO good!!
