Tangy Cherry Relish

- 1 cup cherry preserves shopping list
- 1 cup dried cherries shopping list
- 2 tablespoons cider vinegar shopping list
- 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped shopping list
- 1/4 cup green bell pepper, finely chopped shopping list
- 1/4 cup carrot, peeled and finely shredded shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil shopping list
How to make it
- Chop preserves. Transfer to saucepan.
- Add dried cherries (I chop these a little bit too) and vinegar.
- Bring to a boil.
- Add onion, green pepper and carrot.
- Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in salt and basil.
- Cover and chill overnight.
- This makes 2 cups of relish.
