Cabbage Au Gratin With Smoked Sausage Recipe
If you love cabbage this is a must have to try so easy to make. this warm cheesy dish is pure comfort food in the winter.

Ingredients
  • 1 large head cabbage chopped
  • 1 pound smoked or polish sausage cut into one inch pieces
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 can cheddar cheese soup
  • 1/2 soup can of milk
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions
  1. preheat oven to 375 degrees
  2. in a large cassarole dish layer 1/4th of the cabbage then 1/4th sausage
  3. sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of the flour
  4. dot with 1/4th of the stick of butter
  5. continue to layer until cabbage, sausage, flour and butter are used
  6. in a medium sized bowl mix soup and milk together well
  7. pour over the cabbage mixture
  8. cover well and bake for 60 minutes stirring every 20 minutes or until cabbage is very tender
  9. season with salt and pepper to taste when you stir the first time
