Cabbage Au Gratin with Smoked Sausage

- 1 large head cabbage chopped shopping list
- 1 pound smoked or Polish sausage cut into one inch pieces shopping list
- 4 tablespoons flour shopping list
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine shopping list
- 1 can cheddar cheese soup shopping list
- 1/2 soup can of milk shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
How to make it
- preheat oven to 375 degrees
- in a large cassarole dish layer 1/4th of the cabbage then 1/4th sausage
- sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of the flour
- dot with 1/4th of the stick of butter
- continue to layer until cabbage, sausage, flour and butter are used
- in a medium sized bowl mix soup and milk together well
- pour over the cabbage mixture
- cover well and bake for 60 minutes stirring every 20 minutes or until cabbage is very tender
- season with salt and pepper to taste when you stir the first time
