Chocolate shoo-fly pie

- 2 unbaked pie shells, store bought or homemade, in pan pans shopping list
- Bottom of pie: shopping list
- 2 cups sugar shopping list
- 2 cups water shopping list
- 1 tablespoon butter shopping list
- 2 tablespoons corn starch shopping list
- 3 tablespoons flour shopping list
- 3 tablespoons cocoa shopping list
- Top of pie: shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 3 tablespoons cocoa shopping list
- 2 teaspoons baking soda shopping list
- 2 cups hot water shopping list
- 1 cup shortening shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 5 cups all-purpose flour shopping list
- 2 cups brown sugar shopping list
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon shopping list
- 2 cups molasses shopping list
How to make it
- In a saucepan, bring sugar, water, butter, cornstarch, flour and cocoa to a boil, stirring constantly.
- Cool and pour equally into the bottom of the unbaked pie shells.
- In a large bowl, mix together the eggs, cocoa, baking soda, water, lard, salt, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and molasses.
- Mix until well combined.
- Pour mixture over top botton-mixture in pie shells.
- Bake in a 350° oven for 35-40 minutes or until done.
