Shrimp Newburg Recipe
This is a recipe that was being served as a demo in a local grocery store (Publix, for those of you in the South). It's rather rich, so we don't have it often, but it's so good and so easy. We serve it over rice.

Ingredients
  • 1 lb. shrimp, cleaned, deveined and tails removed
  • cooking spray
  • 1 tsp Old Bay Seasoning
  • 1 can condensed cream of shrimp soup
  • 1/4 c red wine or sherry
  • 1 3oz package cream cheese, softened

Directions
  1. Preheat large saute pan on medium high heat for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Spray pan with cooking spray. Place shrimp in pan and sprinkle with Old Bay seasoning. Cook 2 minutes, stirring often.
  3. Stir in soup, wine and cream cheese until blended and smooth. Simmer 3 minutes and serve.
  4. Serve over rice or mashed potatoes.
  5. 3 servings.
