How to make it

  • 1. Combine sugar, crisco, eggs and vanilla, beat well.
  • 2. Sift together dry ingredients and alternately add dry ingredients and the chopped apples and nuts.
  • 3. Bake in a jellyroll pan at ~325 for 45 minutes.
  • Frost with a powdered sugar and butter icing.
