These are a nice treat to make in the Fall. They also freeze well.

Ingredients
  • 2 C. sugar
  • 1 1/2 C. Crisco
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 t. vanilla
  • 3 C. flour
  • 1 t. soda
  • 1 t. cinnamon
  • 1 t. salt
  • 1 C. nuts-chopped
  • 3 C. finely chopped Apples

Directions
  1. 1. Combine sugar, crisco, eggs and vanilla, beat well.
  2. 2. Sift together dry ingredients and alternately add dry ingredients and the chopped apples and nuts.
  3. 3. Bake in a jellyroll pan at ~325 for 45 minutes.
  4. Frost with a powdered sugar and butter icing.
