Bread And Butter Relish Recipe

Ingredients

12 lg. cubed cucumbers

9 onions, chopped

1/2 c. salt

2 red peppers, chopped

5 c. vinegar (I used part cider vinegar)

5 c. sugar

1/2 c. flour

1 tsp. tumeric

1tsp. dry mustard

1 tsp. celery seed

Directions

Layer vegetables with salt, and ice in a large bowl. Let sit 3 hours and drain, rinse and drain well.

Bring remaining ingredients to a boil, add vegetables and bring to a boil again. Reduce heat, stir once gently but don't boil. Cook until vegetables are transparent (about 20 minutes)

Pour into steralized jars, and process in boiling water bath for 15 minutes.
