Sausage and Peppers with Basil

This is a quick and easy recipe for sausage and peppers. It's from a potluck cookbook that was created at my last place of employment.
Ingredients
- 1 pkg. Knorr tomato with basil soup and recipe mix shopping list
- 1-1/4 c. water shopping list
- 1 T. Mazola corn oil shopping list
- 1 lb. italian sausage, cut into 2 inch pieces shopping list
- 1 green pepper, sliced shopping list
- 1 onion, sliced shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic, minced shopping list
How to make it
- In a bowl, stir soup mix and water until blended; set aside.
- In large skillet, heat corn oil over medium-high heat. Add sausage; brown on all sides about 2 minutes. Pour off all but 1 tablespoon drippings.
- Add green pepper, onion, and garlic. Cook, stirring, for 2 minutes.
- Stir in soup mixture. Stirring constantly, bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low. Partially cover and simmer 10 minutes.
