Simple Quiche
From gingeryaudas 16 years agoIngredients
- 2 deep dish pie shells shopping list
- 1 dozen eggs shopping list
- 1 pkg breakfast sausage shopping list
- 1 pkg "Ready to Serve" bacon (15 slices) (regular bacon is ok to use- but messier and i go for the simpler the better) shopping list
- 16 oz cubed, cooked ham (I buy the cubed salad ham when i can but shopping list
- I usually use the cheap ham lunchmeat and cube it) shopping list
- 16 oz pkg shredded cheddar/monteray jack mixed shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Remove pie shells from package and poke holes in bottom of crusts with a fork. Bake for 10 minutes and set aside. Change oven temperature to 375 degrees.
- Brown breakfast sausage as you would ground beef and drain.
- Microwave bacon and let drain on a plate with paper towels. Dice once its cooled a bit.
- Cube ham into about 1/2 inch pieces (if you're using the lunchmeat)
- Layer all meats into each pie crusts.
- Beat the entire dozen eggs (or 6 at a time if you prefer) and pour over each pie.
- Sprinkle cheese over each pie covering all the filling.
- Bake for 60 minutes. Insert fork into center and if quiche is still extremely juicy let it cook 15 more minutes. Remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes before serving. (perfect time to make that colorful salad!)
