Dads Clam Chowder

- 2 6oz cans of clams shopping list
- 2 slices of bacon shopping list
- 4 cups of cubed potatoes shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped onion shopping list
- 2 1/2 cups milk shopping list
- 1 cup light cream ( half and half) shopping list
- 3 tbsp flour shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon worchestire sauce shopping list
- 3/4 tsp sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Drain clams and reserve the liquid in a bowl. add enough water to the liquid to measure 2 cups.
- In a large saucepan cook the bacon. remove the bacon from the pan, but leave the drippings.
- Add the clam liquid, potatoes and onion to the saucepan.
- Cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender
- Stir in the clams, 2 cups of milk and the cream.
- Combine remaining milk and flour in a small bowl and mix well
- Stir into chowder.
- Cook and stir until thick and bubbly.
- add worchestire sauce and cook for 1 more minute.
- Add salt, pepper and sugar, stir and serve :)
