Styers is a local farmer that has been around forever. Pop styer passed but his store is still going. They gave this recipe out. I have had this recipe since I was a child but I still have not made it...I hve so many recipes.

Ingredients
  • Combine and set aside:
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon sal
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • Mix nd add to dry ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Fold in:
  • 2 cups finely chopped apples
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup raisens
  • For soaking: combine
  • 1/2 cup apple jack
  • 1/2 cup apple juice
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of sweet butter

Directions
  1. Place cake in 10inch greased tube pan
  2. 325 for 1 hour or until tested done.
  3. Soaking liquid:
  4. Bring to boil until sugar is dissolved.
  5. Prick top of cake with fork.
  6. Carefully spoon apple jack syrup over cake.
  7. I have not made this yet. Sometimes I think this good be on the dry side because not much liquid in the cake. IF someone makes this let me know, I could be wrong. This always looks so good. I keep forgetting about it.
