Styers Apple Jack Pound Cake Recipe

Ingredients

Combine and set aside:

3 cups flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon sal

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

Mix nd add to dry ingredients:

1/2 cup oil

2 cups sugar

3 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla

Fold in:

2 cups finely chopped apples

1 cup chopped pecans

1/2 cup raisens

For soaking: combine

1/2 cup apple jack

1/2 cup apple juice

1/4 cup brown sugar

2 tablespoons of sweet butter

Directions

Place cake in 10inch greased tube pan

325 for 1 hour or until tested done.

Soaking liquid:

Bring to boil until sugar is dissolved.

Prick top of cake with fork.

Carefully spoon apple jack syrup over cake.

I have not made this yet. Sometimes I think this good be on the dry side because not much liquid in the cake. IF someone makes this let me know, I could be wrong. This always looks so good. I keep forgetting about it.
