From chili pepper magazine, this zesty take on cranberry sauce is perfect for a chili head thanksgiving feast.

Ingredients
  • 8 cups fresh cranberries
  • 4 cups orange juice
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 jalapeño, stemmed, seeded and julienned
  • 1 TBS orange zest
  • 4 cinnamon sticks

Directions
  1. In a saucepan over medium heat combine all ingredients.
  2. Simmer until the mixture starts to thicken, about 30 minutes.
  3. Maintain a very low simmer for an additional 30 minutes.
  4. Pour into a bowl. cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours or overnight.
  5. Remove cinnamon sticks before serving.
