Stained Glass Windows Recipe
A simple and easy chocolate recipe that kids can help with. This recipe is perfect for holidays like Halloween, Christmas and Easter.

Ingredients
  • 12 ounces chocolate chips
  • 1 bag colored mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 cup coconut flakes

Directions
  1. melt the chocolate chips in a double boiler or in the microwave and stir until smooth.
  2. place the marshmallows in a large bowl with the nuts. pour the chocolate in and mix well to combine.
  3. now you need 4 sheets of wax or parchment paper about 14 inches long.
  4. place a piece of wax or parchment paper on a flat surface and spoon half of mixture onto the paper.
  5. using the paper to roll, form the mixture into a log, making sure it rolls tightly.
  6. unroll the paper from the log. on a second sheet of paper, sprinkle some of the coconut flakes and place the log on top. sprinkle with more coconut and re-roll in the new paper.
  7. repeat the process for the remaining mixture.
  8. chill for at least 2 hours.
  9. remove the logs from the paper and slice into 1/2 to 1 inch thick slices.
  10. each slice looks like a mini stained glass window!
  11. Kids love to help with this recipe (if you can keep them from eating the ingredients!)
  12. we used to make these when I was a kid for all the major holidays.
